Sisters Network Inc. is a nonprofit uplifting Black breast cancer patients with stories of survival, multiple levels of support, and with a robust, nationwide community. Founded by four-time breast cancer survivor Karen Eubanks Jackson, Sisters Network Inc. focuses on raising awareness throughout the African American community, in part via education outreach programs, but by also supporting breast cancer patients financially.
The nonprofit addresses a serious issue: Black breast cancer patients are more likely to die from breast cancer than white patients, even in spite of the fact that white Americans are more likely to be diagnosed than their Black neighbors. This is not okay. But Sisters Network Inc. is changing things, making waves to ensure that breast cancer education, prevention, support, treatment, rehabilitation—and one day, a cure—will be afforded to every American, equally.

Mothers Supporting Daughters with Breast Cancer is a nonprofit whose mission is perfectly stated in its name: giving both breast cancer patients and their mothers a community to draw hope from. At the time of her diagnosis, there was little information about the disease, and she was forced to make decisions about her health with few options. After her treatment, Janelle made a commitment to help women around the world by educating them about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
